Ebony and Ivory

For those "I have ten minutes to leave my house" days.

I was on a time crunch and wasn't really expecting to go out. All I knew was that I really wanted to wear my new shoes, these cute slides by Mango (under $100!). I loved the pointed toe and fun pom pom/fringe details so I slid them on with my dark gray jeans. I struggle with color and have a lot of black, but I wanted to break it up so I went with this white slitted cotton top for a bit of flare.  My pop of "color" was my light washed, slightly oversized denim jacket. I truly pulled this look off in a hurry; my family impatiently waited for me as I got dressed (though they were really supportive when I asked if we could pull over and take pictures). I shot this look because I felt a lot of us could wear something similar for a variety of occasions. I love dressing up as much as the next girl, but sometimes I want to look good while still being comfortable.

I feel it's worth mentioning, that besides the shoes, these are all "old" pieces. The best way to save money and the planet, is by going shopping in your own closet.
